Aims & Objectives

To advance education primarily among the children of Castlemilk and environs through: the provision and supervision of learning-orientated activities for school and pre-school chddren; the provision of care, guidance, instruction, activities and support directed towards addressing the special educational needs of school and pre-school children who are living in necessitous circumstances and /or single parent family

Job Description

1. Interacts with colleagues and visitors across the organisation 2. Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail 3. Deal with telephone and other enquiries across the organisation 4. Arranges meetings by reserving rooms and managing refreshments 5. Types correspondence/forms among other documents 6. Photocopies, scans, and files appropriate documents 7. Helps to manage office machinery and supplies 8. Signs for delivered packages and distributes them to the appropriate person/team 9. Can cover reception/buzzer door entry on occasion 10. Deals with requests for taxis, petty cash and purchases 11. Performs cash handling duties 12. Engages in learning and development 13. Works across both office locations of the organisation 14. Performing any other reasonable duties when required

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL • Enthusiastic and reliable • Good communication skills • Good level of basic skills (eg english, maths, computer) • Friendly, personable approach • Willingness to work as part of a team • Work in confidence DESIRABLE • Previous experience and/or keen to work in an office environment • Good typing skills

Additional information

Payroll is 4 weekly; 20 days holiday entitlement pro-rate plus public holidays

PVG/Disclosure requirements

Required - can start subject to a successful Disclosure/PVG scheme membership
